Wesleyan Winter Session will run January 7-22, 2020. Students have the opportunity to return to campus early over winter break and complete a full-credit course in a two-week intensive format. Financial aid applications are open in portal and close October 25 at 2pm. Registration will be open November 1- December 13 at Noon. Winter Session Registration
Winter Session registration is open, and courses have started to fill. Please don’t wait to register; enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Housing and Dining requests for Winter Session, Winter on Wyllys, and Teacher Generation will close at noon on Thursday, November 30. Review the information published on the Winter Session website (http://www.wesleyan.edu/wintersession), particularly the deadlines for registration, withdrawal, housing, dining, and more, and register as soon as possible to secure your seat.
How to Register for Winter Session Courses:
- Navigate to Portal.
- Go to the “Courses” Bucket and click on “Winter Session.”
- Download and print the registration form.
- Complete the registration form and have your advisor sign it.
- Bring the signed, completed form to 74 Wyllys Avenue with full payment for tuition.
- Students should bring their tuition payment in the form of a check or pre-payment on their student account so that the credit on their account is $3260 when they come to the Winter Session Office. Students awarded aid should bring a print-out of their aid letter and the balance of the tuition.
- The office will not accept incomplete forms or forms that are not accompanied by full payment.
- Students who are not currently on campus due to study abroad or leave should use the “Registration Information – Students not on Campus” link in the Winter Session bucket.
How to Request Housing:
- Navigate to Portal.
- Go to the “Courses” Bucket and click on “Winter Session.”
- Click on the clink “Housing Request.”
- Complete the online form.
- Contact Residential Life (reslife@wesleyan.edu) with questions.
How to Request Dining:
- Navigate to Portal.
- Go to the “Courses” Bucket and click on “Winter Session.”
- Click on the clink “Meal Plan Request.”
- Complete the online form.

Winter Session Financial Aid Application Deadline 10/25
The application for Winter Session Financial Aid is open. To be eligible for aid, you must currently be receiving need-based Wesleyan grant funds, and new this year: International students receiving need-based grant funds may be eligible to receive aid for Winter Session! Need-based grant funds are limited and students also should expect to consider student loans. Applying for financial aid does not obligate you to take a course; if you’re considering Winter Session but are not sure, please apply for aid anyway.
- Apply for Wesleyan grant aid by October 25, using the link in your Portal’s Courses Bucket.
- You will receive an award letter Friday, October 27.
- Enroll in your course beginning Monday, October 30: bring your paper enrollment form, award letter, and payment for the difference between tuition and your award to the Winter Session office (74 Wyllys).
- If you plan to use student loans to pay for your course, please consult with your financial aid advisor to make sure you have enough loan availability to cover both Winter Session and the spring term – and to complete the additional loan request process.
- Applications for grant aid will not be accepted after Wednesday, October 25. Need-based grant funds are limited and will not meet full need, as Winter Session is an optional term.

Winter Session Registration – Courses Filling
If you are interested in taking a Winter Session course, register as soon as possible!
To register for Winter Session, print the form from the bucket in your portfolio, complete the form, have your advisor sign it, and bring the form with payment to the Winter Session office (74 Wyllys Ave). You can also prepay on your student account before bringing your form in.
Housing and Dining forms for Winter Session are also in your portfolio and will close at noon on December 6. Only students who have completed the forms as well as registered for Winter Session (or another program) by noon on December 6 will be eligible for housing and dining. Winter Session 2017 Financial Aid Application Deadline 10/20
The application for Winter Session 2017 Financial Aid is now available in student portfolios in the Winter Session bucket. You must complete the application before October 20 in order to be eligible for aid. Students who are currently receiving Wesleyan grant funds and are a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S. may apply for aid, and may gauge their award eligibility using the chart available on the application. Applying for financial aid does not obligate you to take a course; if you’re considering Winter Session but are not sure, please apply for aid anyway.

- Apply for Wesleyan grant aid by October 20, using the form in your EPortfolio.
- You will receive an award letter Thursday, October 27.
- Enroll in your course beginning Friday, October 28; bring your paper enrollment form, award letter, and payment for the difference between tuition and your award to the Continuing Studies office.
- If you plan to use student loans to pay for your course, please consult with your financial aid advisor to make sure you have enough loan availability to cover both Winter Session and the spring term – you do not need to submit any additional forms to borrow student loans for Winter Session.
- Applications for grant aid will not be accepted after Thursday, October 20. Need-based grant funds are limited and will not meet full need, as Winter Session is an optional term.
